Jindabyne Bowls February Update

Summer is the best time of year for a roll and the club has options for all levels to compete or socialise! The green is available 7 days a week for barefoot groups or roll-ups, check the avaiallbility with club staff. Always popular, Business Bowls has returned each Wednesday night with the new graded format ensuring more close games while allowing players to develop their skills in a low pressure environment with the season running until early March. For those looking for more competition Michael (Mags) Swinney is hosting a new Friday social bowls each week from 5:30pm for anyone to have a go! Names on the list by 5pm for a short, sharp 90 minute end contest each week.

The club championships are in fuill swing with the Minor Singles down to the final two competitors with Matt Hughes and Dean Pusey looking to win a maiden title while the Major Singles has just three players left after Daniel Clough reached the final where he awaits either John Barnes or Dave Pastro. Members can nominate for the final championships of the season with the club triples and fours coming up soon!

Finally the selectors will be busy again with the upcoming Pennant season where Jindabyne will be looking to go one better and claim the region title after coming up just short last year while the Monaro Shield is there to provide local players and clubs the opportunity to wear the club colours and experience competition and camerarderie around the region. New members are always welcome and all the competitions can be found on line on BowlsLink.

Cheers,

Nick Hind
